2012
Initiated an industrial joint venture development project in Sao Paulo, Brazil on behalf of an international investor.
2011
Clarion Partners' executive team finalized management buyout of ING Group's private market investment management business in the Americas.
2009
Separate account portfolio transitions totaling $1.2 billion.
2008
Opened office in Sao Paulo, Brazil.
2007
Fund assets exceeded separate account assets. Third in opportunistic, closed-end fund series launched.
2006
Closed-end fund targeting value-added and opportunistic investments in Mexico launched.
2005
Gables Residential Trust, a $3.0 billion public REIT acquired; apartment fund established. Value-added portfolio also established.
2004
Second in opportunistic, closed-end fund series established.
2002
Acquired Crow Holdings Industrial Trust, a $1.5 billion private industrial REIT; established Dallas-based industrial group. Industrial sector portfolio launched.
2000
Flagship open-end fund created.
1999
First in opportunistic, closed-end fund series launched.
1998
ING Real Estate acquired Clarion Partners.
1996
Active principals bought out their passive minority partners’ interest.
1995
Purchased an interest in a REIT manager, Clarion Real Estate Securities, now a part of CBREI. Formed a public real estate debt manager, Clarion Capital, now Torchlight Partners.
1983
Clarion Partners began building real estate portfolios for clients.
